I can’t claim to be an expert on Spain… but I have been many times. This is my top 5:

1. Cádiz

Cádiz is a hidden gem in the South of Spain and I totally fell in love with it! Read this post.

2. San Sebastián

It’s been 3 and a half years since I was in this Basque seaside town but I’m still dreaming of the crescent shaped beach, gorgeous views and divine pintxos.

3. Valencía

I did not expect much from this East coast city but the City of Arts and Sciences really blew me away. There is an IMAX cinema, science museum, aquarium, art museum and event space set among beautiful gardens and stunning architecture.

4. Barcelona

Barcelona is a city everyone must visit at least once. I went with a group of friends and it was one big party. La Rambla, with its vibrant atmosphere, is my favourite spot.

5. Cartagena

Cartagena is a genial small city in the south eastern corner of Spain. Check out the Roman amphitheatre, ramparts, Cathedral and the nearby Mar Menor lagoon.
