Tallinn, perched on the edge of the Baltic Sea, is an exciting city to visit with a zoo, art galleries and the Kadriorg Palace. The Soomaa National Park and Jägala Waterfall are close by.

6. Sirmilik National Park, Canada
Sirmilik, meaning place of glaciers in Inuktitut, is one of Canada’s most accessible Arctic national parks. Its 22,000 sq km covers Bylot Island, Oliver Sound and the Borden Peninsula with fantastic glaciers, icebergs and up to 24 hours daylight during the summer. More and more.
7. Bahia de Naranja National Park, Cuba
This beautiful protected area of Cuba is a favourite with visitors for its hugely popular dolphin encounters and sandy beaches. More.
This small Caribbean island has several gorgeous beaches including James Bond, 7-mile and Reggae beaches as well as the mausoleum of Bob Marley and the Mayfield Falls. More.

10. Aberdeen, Scotland
The ‘Granite City’ of Aberdeen, a port on the Eastern coast of Scotland, has a science centre, botanic garden, St Machar’s Cathedral and several castles close by. It is well worth a visit when in snow or sunshine.
